Empowering Trauma Sensitive Yoga and Interventions for Clinical Settings

FOR:

This training was created for professionals that currently work with vulnerable populations including but not limited to, trauma survivors of any kind. There is also a special consideration for persons (non-clinical) interested in supporting clients, family, community members with reversing the effects of the multisystemic impact of complex trauma, and those that are interested in delving into the evidenced-based approach of Empowerment technique and the ancient practice of yoga and breathwork to facilitate holistic change and healing. 

Additionally, this training is for social workers, mental health clinicians, yoga teachers/trainee's, educators, healthcare professionals, activists etc.

Prior knowledge of yoga and/or restorative health techniques is not necessary for this training.

Duration: 10 -hour training (8 hours face to face - 2 hours for individual self-study and reflection)

TRAINING SPECIFICS:

This training was designed for social workers, mental health clinicians, yoga teachers/trainee's, educators, healthcare professionals, activists interested in deepening their understanding of the multiple and sometimes debilitating effects of trauma on the mind, body, and spirit of survivors. 

Additionally, it is designed to support professionals in expanding their current practice to incorporate restorative health techniques including mediation, breathwork cues, yoga (asana) postures, with use of aromatherapy oils to balance the human central nervous system, assist clients in managing stress and anxiety, and helping survivors to feel safe in their bodies.
